LORI: We spent years going to the same grocery stores, hangouts, restaurants and coffee shops. We even shared close mutual friends and acquaintances, yet somehow our paths never crossed. Until one night, while perusing Facebook, an advertisement popped up on my computer screen: "Meet singles over the age of 40". I ignored the pop up at first, but curiosity got the best of me and I took the bait! Meanwhile, Rob also saw the same advertisement and clicked on the link. Neither of us had ever experienced on-line dating. Ahhh, but this was not on-line dating! It was a Matchmaker! The slick sales team managed to convince two extremely reluctant clients into unknown territory of having someone else choose their "introductions". We arranged to meet at our favorite Starbucks. We were both regulars there. When I asked him how I would recognize him, he said he would be wearing a green jumpsuit. What?! He swears to this day that he said "black jumpsuit with a green stripe". I guess I only heard "green jumpsuit". So there I was, having buyers remorse from this matchmaking service, ready to meet some guy in a green jumpsuit! So our story ultimately began that January morning in 2009, and that one ordinary day turned into an extraordinary beginning. ROB: We chatted for hours that day, and soon our morning coffee turned into an impromptu lunch at Einstein's bagels next door. I had just returned from a trip to Tahiti and was telling her about a Polynesian dance troop that performed for my family. Lori informed me that she was trained in Hula and Tahitian while growing up in Hawaii, so I asked her to demonstrate. To my delight she stood up, right then and there, and showed me her moves. I was hooked! And the rest is history...
