Is there a dress code?

Answer

Black-tie optional. Gowns and tuxedos are welcome, as are suits and cocktail dresses. Please wear a coat as the ceremony will be taking place outside if the weather allows! There will be a coat check inside once the reception begins.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

No, we are requesting an unplugged ceremony. This means we would prefer that friends and family do not use phones or other photography devices throughout the duration of our ceremony. We're happy to share our wedding photos with anyone that wants pictures once we've received them from our hired photographer.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

To allow all guests to relax and enjoy themselves, we have chosen to make our special day adults only. We thank you for understanding.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There will be a complimentary valet at the venue for those who wish to drive directly there.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have worked really hard to create a celebration that includes all of our closest family members and friends. We will specify all guests on your invitation.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes! The waiters at Whitby Castle can accommodate - please let them know as you order dinner the night of.
