We started out as two young love birds who met in High School. We got married 5 months after I graduated and we have been inseparable ever since. Our marriage has been a roller coaster of ups and downs but through it all it's only made us stronger and we have more love for each other now than we ever had in the beginning. Our daughter Kaylee was born exactly seven and a half years after we were married. We were loving parents and so blessed to have a child but me and Leonard still felt like something was missing. Me and my husband never were church people until Kaylee made 18 months old, we were invited by some friends to their church and that started the journey of these two love birds and their baby bird on a trip of a lifetime. We finally knew what was missing, a relationship with our Almighty Father, The Lord Jesus Christ. That door opened so many other doors to a life and marriage that we were being kept from all because we didn't have Jesus in our lives. We have come to know that living life in this world can be such a joy because we know that no matter what crosses our path we have someone standing beside us whispering "Take my hand and I will lead you, have no fear because I have it under control, have faith in me and you will have no worries, except me as your Lord and Savior and you will have eternal peace." There has been times when we never thought we would get to our 20th Wedding Anniversary but we know that as long as we keep Jesus first in our marriage then we can get through anything. Divorce has never been an option with us and we pray that as our baby bird grows into a lovely adult bird she will have learned from us that marriage is for life. You work on it and fight hard and stick together with the Lord being front and center. So on August 17, 2019 we will be married 20 years and we are going to renew our vows in front of family and friends and once again say I DO AGAIN! We are excited to see what the Lord has planned for us for the next 20:)
