Reservations must be made FAR in advance and it isn't very close to downtown, but if the South Park creators were willing to spend tens of millions renovating this restaurant/fun park, then it truly is special. Watch the episode before you go: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0761284/ and there's now a documentary about the renovation. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt32149731/
Wander around Rino and check out dozens of murals.
Lots of hikes just west of Denver but here's a favorite. Car is needed. Afterward, grab a drink and hang out on the outdoor deck of the Golden Mill in nearby Golden.
Early June is peony season in Denver (Lori's favorite flower), and it is the absolute best time to visit the gardens. Lovely cafe near the water lilies inside the gardens too.
Jeff bought a house mostly because this bar is within walking distance. Great patio. Open late.
Stay until Monday so you can join us at City Park Jazz outdoor concert in the Park on Sunday evening! But if you can't stay that long, walk/run around the lake for the best view of Denver from the east side looking West. The park is also home to the zoo, nature and science museum and a golf course https://www.cityofdenvergolf.com/. The club house at City Park Golf has great views of the city too.
Home to the perpetually losing Rockies, but a great ballpark. They have a homestand against the Mets so plan for a Sunday afternoon game. Tom's Watch Bar across the street in McGregor Square is a good place for a bite before or after (or to watch NBA or NHL playoff games).
