Neither of us were looking for love when we first met. Gordy and I crossed paths at the shop where he worked on my car, and God, and His perfect timing, used a dear friend to connect our lives in a way we never expected. From our very first date-hours of conversation on my front porch-we felt an instant ease with one another. Soon those front porch talks turned into nightly phone calls that lasted for more than an hour, filled with laughter, stories, and dreams. As our relationship grew, so did our faith. We began doing Bible studies together through the YouVersion app, and God continue to draw us closer-teaching us, guiding us, and weaving our hearts together in His perfect plan. One of our favorite adventures together took us to Leavenworth. On April 4th, What I thought would simply be a lovely evening out turned into the most unforgettable moment of my life: Gordy’s surprise proposal. Today, we cherish the little and big things we share-stargazing, skiing, going for walks, and chasing new adventures. But above all, we celebrate the miracle God has worked in our lives, blessing us with a love meant to last forever when we joyfully say, “I do.”
