The Venue (The Milwaukee County Historical Society)

Answer

A historic bank building along the Milwaukee River, it is a repository for County records and is a research library and museum. This is also the place where Lori interns as an Oral Historian, and her exhibit will be on display, "The Immigrant Experience in Milwaukee County." We will have access to the outdoor courtyard that overlooks Père Park and be able to go inside the old bank vaults.

What To Wear

We would love to see everyone looking their best, so please wear your formal attire. Suits and ties, dresses and gowns, and please avoid jeans, causal attire, white & tan. If you have any questions, call Lori (262) 804-0153.

The Menu & Dietary Restrictions

Cocktail hour will have light refreshments, and the dinner will be Italian. We are accommodating to any dietary restrictions but are only aware of a few vegan friends. Please note on your RSVP any restrictions or allergies.

Accessibility & Parking

This is a wheelchair friendly building with elevators. There is a paid parking structure directly across from the Historical Society as well as parking at the Hyatt Regency Hotel which is kiddie corner to the venue. There is city parking / metered parking around the venue. Please take extra care to make sure your belongings are secured & your cars are locked.

Instead of a gift registry, we would be grateful if you would consider contributing to our newlywed fund which would go towards our goal of purchasing a home in the near future. We would be honored for an in person contribution or through the registry link.

Things to Know

Answer

Absolutely no smoking or vaping indoors. If you do, you will be responsible for the $1,000 fine from the venue. There will be an open bar until our bar tab limit has been reached which it will then shift into a cash bar.
