If you're coming from out of town, we recommend flying into Detroit Metro Airport (DTW), which is a 30-45 min drive from Royal Oak.

What will the weather be like?

Summer is one of the best times to visit the mitten! We're crossing our fingers it'll be sunny and in the 80's on the day we say I do! It can cool off at night, so if you tend to run cold, plan to bring a comfortable sweatshirt or something a little warmer for once it gets dark.

I'm coming from out of town. Do I need a car?

If you plan to stay in Royal Oak, the city is fairly walkable, but it is small! Metro Detroit unfortunately doesn't have reliable public transportation, so renting a car might be your best bet if you plan to explore.
