When is the wedding?

August 6, 2022 The ceremony is set to start at 3pm. Please arrive between 2:00-2:30PM in order to park and find your seat

Where are the ceremony & reception taking place?

Answer

The Moodus Sportsman Club 299 E Haddam Colchester Turnpike, Moodus CT 06496 The ceremony and reception will both be held at the same location.

I got my invitation & RSVP, now what?

Great! Now just let us know who is able to attend! Even if you cannot make it, send us a message!

Are children invited?

Answer

Yes, if you cannot make other arrangements your children are welcome. We love your little ones! However, to allow all of our guests, including you, as parents, the chance to have an evening of relaxation, we understand if you want to leave them home. On the invitation is the number of guests invited in your family. (DISCLAIMER; There will be adult activities going on. I.e. Drinking, smoking, explicit language.)

What should I wear?/ What is the “dress code”?

Answer

We will be outside in August, so we want you to be comfortable. We ask you wear dressy casual or cocktail attire, keeping in mind we will be primarily outside. Ladies should wear summer dresses, cocktail dresses, rompers, etc. and gentlemen should wear khakis, suit pants, dress pants/ shorts with button up shirts or polo's. We do NOT recommend wearing kitten heels or stilettos, our wedding is taking place outside in the grass. Good alternatives could be, flats, sandals, wedges, etc.

What will the weather be like that time of year?​

Answer

It is in August so expect the weather to be warm. Typically the temperatures stay around mid 80s. We will be near water though so we can hope for a breeze! There will be a gathering room on site that will be air conditioned if it gets too hot for guests.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend you arrive 30-45 minutes earlier than the start of the ceremony in order to find parking and seating. We recommend arriving no later than 2:30pm. Venue parking will start around 2pm

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

Directly after the ceremony we will hold cocktail hour while the Bride, Groom and family take pictures. We invite you, at this point, to sign into the guest book if you haven't already, grab a drink, and get comfortable finding your seat!

What should I do if I cannot make it?

Answer

We will miss you! We are so sorry to hear this, but we do understand. Life gets busy, and we just had a pandemic! Please let us know if you cannot make it, and send us your email. We will be attempting to set up a Zoom Video Group of the ceremony for those who cannot make it in person! Otherwise I will attempt to put videos of the wedding after the actual day, so keep an eye out for photos and videos online!

Where do I park?

Answer

Parking is right on site! When you arrive there will be signs, and ushers directing you where to park. All parking is free.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We ask that you bring only the amount of people indicated on your invitation and RSVP card. As our budget, and venue only allotted for that many guests! Thank you!

Did you block any hotels?

Answer

We have not. If you need help finding sleeping/ housing arrangements please reach out to us! We would love to help find you the best location!

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

We ask you respond by May 15, 2022.

Do I have to mail in my RSVP?

Answer

You can either send back the RSVP via mail. Or Text Sam at 860-951-6343. We are also setting up a website rsvp option!

Is the venue handicap accessible?

Answer

We will be outside in the grass. The land is primarily flat by the pavilion. There is parking available for handicapped and elderly guests who need it. The Venue does include a gathering room that will be air conditioned. There is a ramp available for anyone who needs it. The venue includes at least one handicap accessible bathroom.

Will food be served? What kind?

We will be having a buffet style dinner. The menu will include options such as; ​ Pernil & Spanish Rice ​ Pizza, Wings and assorted appetizers

Will there be a vegetarian option?

Answer

We are currently looking into this and will update as details become available. Please let us know if any dietary needs.

Is there transportation included to and from the hotel?

Answer

We will not be providing transportation. But there are many options if you choose not to drive. We encourage car pooling and Uber, in order to avoid any drinking and driving

Can I take pictures of the wedding? Can I post them on social media?

Answer

ABSOLUTELY! We encourage it! Just please keep in mind that we have photographers capturing the moment so try to be mindful. Please send us all photos you take of the night! You can also upload them with the hashtag #SSLORENZO2022 or #McLovingLorenzo
