We're Getting Married!

Before Lorenzo messaged me I was newly diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. I was going through a very hard time being locked in due to COVID and dealing with this new lifestyle. It was June 4, 2020, when Lorenzo sent me a friend request and decided to message me on Facebook. At first, I was hesitant to respond, but something told me to message him back. Once we started talking, he could not wait to ask me on a date. I told him right away about my disease and he was so loving and nurturing since day one. Due to COVID having very little to do, he took me to Starbucks for coffee and we walked by the water. After our first date, Lorenzo could not wait to see me again, so we planned a hiking date, something Lorenzo would have never done before, for those who know him know he is not an outdoorsy guy. When I came home from our date, my mom saw me glowing so happy like never before, and she told me this might sound crazy, but I have a feeling you are going to marry him. Lorenzo and I continued to talk, and he would always message me paragraphs on how lucky he was to have met me and that it was the best thing that ever happened to him and he has never been this happy before. He would also say he really cares about me or really likes me... I would respond with paragraphs back on how I felt for him. I once told him whoever says they love someone within a month of knowing them is crazy, I would run away. Little did I know I was wrong. I fell in love with Lorenzo in less than a month, and I regretted ever saying that because he never said he loved me . But Lorenzo never failed to tell me he cared about me a lot and that I had no idea how much and I knew deep down he wanted to tell me he loved me. A few months later, I told him I loved him and we both started crying. He said I fell in love with you when I first met you. To him, it was instant. He knew I would be the one he would marry at the time when were on our first date at Starbucks. A couple of years on December 17, 2022, Lorenzo got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. The most magical day of my life. He made everything so beautiful and put so much time and effort into making it a dream come true. God has everything planned in your life. God planned for us to cross paths and end up together. We are both so lucky to have found each other and beyond blessed to spend the rest of our lives together. We can not wait for September 29, 2024, to be husband and wife.
