In 2019, Lorenzo decided to take a leap of faith and leave his hometown of New Braunfels to attend college in Brenham. Before his move, Lorenzo and his family toured the college campus and he was eager to later explore the area. Little did he know, there wasn't much left of Brenham to see. It was a small town, but Lorenzo had no idea what big things it had waiting for him. Lorenzo was in a new place all on his own, so he decided to put himself out there and meet new people. This led Lorenzo and Alexis to first meet online, but their interaction was cut short when Alexis got spooked that Lorenzo might not be real. She listened to too many true crime podcasts. A month of silence went by before fate led them to a mutual friend's birthday party and they finally got the chance to meet. Alexis and Lorenzo immediately clicked, like a puzzle piece falling into place. Only two weeks went by before they made it official on November 9, 2019. They spent the next six years growing up, but most importantly, growing together. On Christmas day in 2025, Lorenzo surprised Alexis with the most special gift she could ask for - a ring and a promise to spend the rest of their lives together.
