When Will and I need a getaway out of Houston, we love exploring the main street at Old Town Spring. They have the cutest boutiques and make sure to stop by Tea Kettle Cafe for some afternoon tea!

Sam Houston National Forest

Depending on how warm it is in January this year, we love renting paddleboards or kayaks from 1097 and having a fun day on the lake.

If you don't want to make your way down to Houston, the Woodlands Waterway and Market Street areas are a great midway point. Shop around the different boutiques, try some of the local dining, and check out the various activities to do here.
