Kitsap Memorial Park is located on the Olympic Peninsula overlooking the Hood Canal. It is a short ferry ride from Seattle and the park is located close to Port Gamble or Poulsbo. Bainbdridge Island provides more accommodation options but is a little farther away. Looking in either of these places for accommodations would keep you relatively close if you wish to stay across the pond from Seattle.
