Bumble. He liked the picture of me sipping a margarita and I liked the picture of him holding a pumpkin, in Walmart, at 2am, wearing his ray-bans. (Picture courtesy of his ex!) A few weeks of chatting later and realizing we were both unbelievable cool people, we set our first date. After a long lunch enjoying tacos, we did not want the date to end so we went to Lake Eola for Barktoberfest. That is where Alex found our dog Denver. At the end of a beautiful day and memorable date, we both felt that this was the beginning of something special.
Alex’s family planned a Christmas Field Day for us to all get together and celebrate after the holiday. After family portraits were taken and the kids were ready to run around the beautiful farm. Alex’s mom Liz told a group of the adults it was time for a scavenger hunt. All the clues were in French. We went around the farm solving clue after clue. When we came to the last clue, I noticed everyone gathered at the edge of the property which overlooks out towards the intercoastal. As Alex and I came closer I saw Ava, Alivia and Adam holding up signs that said, “Loren We Love You!” I turned around and Alex was on his knee! Alex’s proposal was the best Christmas gift ever.
