We're Getting Married!!

Once upon a time, in the majestic land of Parkland, Florida, two souls would meet for the first time. Their names: Richard and Lorena. Unbeknownst to them, this chance encounter would prove to be the catalyst which would one day open the door to true love and happiness. The year was 2020 and Richard had just been approved to mentor a college student in their final semester internship upon his return from Christmas break. This college student was Lorena De Los Santos Corporan. Deep into vacation time (the day before Nochebuena), Richard received an email from his precocious, soon to be student teacher introducing herself and asking for any pertinent information for her upcoming internship. Naturally, Richard ignored this email, instead choosing to reply once he had returned to work. The new year brought these two souls to the precipice of their first meeting but alas, a deadly and mysterious force would keep them at a distance for a few weeks longer; Covid-19 (ooohhhhh ahhhhhh). They finally came face to face in February and the sparks of professionalism and respect for the workplace were flying! Meanwhile, underneath the surface, chemistry and attraction were building. Although tempted to flirt, Richard maintained a safe and respectful demeanor for the entirety of Lorenas internship. The internship eventually ended and it was time for Lorena to go and pursue her Masters degree. She left Richard with a newly gained sense of confidence that she would be a great teacher due to his wonderful leadership. Richard wished her luck on her future endeavors. He always knew there was something special about her and he hoped that fate would bring them back together if it was meant to be. Little did he know it was only a matter of time… In the years that followed, Richard found a renewed motivation to learn Spanish and made it a daily habit. He was proudly sharing stories on instagram of spanish songs he enjoyed to indicate to others that he indeed could understand at least half of what was said in these songs. Upon seeing one of his instagram stories, highlighting a song by Vicente Fernandez, Lorena was compelled to react to said story with a heart eyes emoji, quite a bold move. Richard was taken aback with feelings of joy and surprise. He was compelled to initiate a friendship which was not bound by the constraints of professionalism and workplace power dynamics. After some conversation, Lorena and Richard realized that they still had the same chemistry they had once left behind and agreed to a date. And just like that, fate had brought them back together for good…
