It took us awhile to find each other, but it was worth the wait! We invite you, the people most important to us, to celebrate friendship, family and love in the beautiful setting of Napa Valley. Expect an unforgettable weekend! We hope to see you there.
Greg dialed his old college friend Ben Fleischer. They’d been close for 18 years, despite not living within 300 miles of each other since graduation. “Greg?!” Ben answered yelling into his car's speaker phone. “Ben?!” Greg replied, “Where are you? Sounds like you’re in a wind tunnel." “Sorry, let me shut the window.” It got quiet. Greg noticed a female voice in the background. After the usual small talk, Ben introduced his new friend, Loren Brill. "Actually, Greg and Loren, you two would be really good together!" Never shy, Loren said, “If you’re interested, you better act fast, I’m a catch!” Not interested at the time, the comment left an impression. Fast forward 4 months, Greg was in New York and reached out to Loren to see if she was interested in meeting up. They met at Pierre Loti, a wine bar on 17th and Irving. It was raining and they sat outside under an awning. Soon, the awkwardness faded. Greg was intrigued with Loren’s beauty, intellect and passion. They realized how much they had in common. Both were originally New Yorkers, but loved California. Both were entrepreneurs, Greg investing in startups and Loren operating one. Both passionate about health and wellness, but have a weakness for dessert. Both with siblings living a few blocks from each other with kids the same age. And both looking for their other half for what seemed like forever. At the end of the evening, Greg walked Loren down the block and they shared a magical kiss goodnight. The next day Greg proposed a second date, but this time on his side of the country, in Napa Valley. Loren made Greg jump through a few hoops, but ultimately agreed. They spoke everyday, often using video, until she arrived 3 weeks later. 3 days into their “second date” while in the pool at the Solage Hotel, Greg picked her up and said "I don't want to scare you, but you're it." And that was the moment they fell in love.
