The Lord Pollack Wedding

Things To Do

The hotel block is just outside of the Portland City limits. There is plenty to explore within the city and beyond with a quick drive, train ride, or Uber/Lyft! Here's some varied recommendations for all -- we've listed these in order of shortest to longest distance.

Hawthorne Neighborhood

Portland, OR

Looking for a casual afternoon? Hawthorne Street has vintage and thrift shops abound, as well as endless coffee, sweets, and beer. If you're after an indoor activity, check out the Bagdad Theatre & Pub and catch a movie.

Mount Tabor Park

Portland, OR

Fun Fact: Portland is one of six American cities with an extinct volcano within its limits, and just so happens there's park built upon on it. Mount Tabor is perfect for local hiking trails, laid back walks around the reservoir, city views, and picnics.

Alberta Arts District

Portland, OR

Another gem of a neighborhood on the east side. All the food. All the art. Check it out.

Columbia River Gorge

OR

The Columbia River Gorge has some pretty insane views and waterfalls. It's easily accessible from Portland, roughly a 30 minute drive. Pro-Tip: Parking can be pretty difficult at times, particularly at Multnomah Falls. There are a number of companies that will provide tours and shuttle you to and through the Columbia River Gorge!

Mt. Hood & Timberline Lodge

OR

Two words - Glacial. Volcano. Check out Mount Hood and the beautiful forest that surrounds it. Timberline Lodge sits atop and is a notorious brunch location. For you Stephen King fans, the lodge was used to film all the exterior shots from "The Shining".

Willamette Valley

OR

Oregon Wine Country, anyone? Known particularly for it's Pinot Noir, there are plenty of vineyards for wine tasting and picnics.
