We met in 2012 at Ron's Place in Kenosha when we were both meeting our friend, Mike, for a drink. We didn't think too much about it but continued to hang out in group settings and became fast friends. A few months later it just clicked and our story began.

On August 23, 2018 we went hiking at Devil's Lake in Baraboo, WI. Jim wanted to started hiking about 6:30am so that the park would be empty during a busy time of year. When we reached the top of the East Bluff Trail Jim asked Sarah to sit down and he would take a picture of her. This is the same picture we have from many other trips and is always fun to take over and over again. Jim asked Sarah to turn around and took her picture. He then said he wanted another one and asked her to turn around again. Jim was on one knee and asked her to marry him! It was a beautiful proposal in our favorite place.
