She fell first, but he fell harder. That was true for Hayden and Loralye. The two met at a homeschool event in 2019. Soon after, by God’s grace, He moved the Woods family to Berean Covenant Church where the Murphys attend. Soon after, despite her quick infatuation, the couple seldom interacted, until Hayden joined Loralye’s archery team. Thankfully, a mutual friend noticed their dynamic and brought about their relationship in 2021. The next year, Hayden asked Loralye to the couples first of many proms and dances together. That night, the two agreed they liked each other. Time past and the couple grew closer and closer. Finally, Loralye turned 18 in 2024 which opened the doors to the next step of their relationship. In that same year on July 3rd Hayden asked Loralye to be his girlfriend. She agreed and the couple became official! Through this time, Hayden and Loralye continued to grow with the Lord and each other as they continued going on dates, working together, and spending time with each other‘s families. On Sunday March 29, 2026, the two were enjoying a sunrise hike and Bible study on a family camping trip when Hayden dropped to one knee and proposed at a beautiful overlook in FDR State Park. Loralye happily agreed saying, “Yeah…Yes!” through happy tears. The two enjoyed the next few weeks telling people about their engagement and starting the next chapter of their lives together! Hayden and Loralye give God the praise for their relationship and thank him for the way he has blessed each of them.
