After both swiping right on a dating app (Hinge), the two met for drinks at The Grotto in downtown Ann Arbor. Lora spent hours picking out what she wanted to wear. Kyle wore his Ford work polo. The two enjoyed various cocktails and talked for hours. Little did they know that date would start them on their journey from Hinge to Hitched.
Kyle chose to propose at Rocky Mountain National Park Moraine Park Campground, a location near and dear to Lora and her Family. They met Lora's family in Colorado to camp that weekend, but they were all staying outside of the national park. Due to COVID, the national park campground was only allowing guests to enter who had reservations. Lucky for Kyle, John (Lora's dad) had a note ready for the park ranger. After reading why they needed in, the ranger let them enter for Kyle to pop the Big Question. They all told Lora the note to the ranger said that Helen (Lora's mom) was terminally ill and wanted to see the park one last time... Lora told them they were all going to hell. Heaven followed, with a beautiful proposal in front of Long's Peak and a night of champagne toasts celebrating the engagement.
