Things To Do

Welcome to Philadelphia! Here are some things to do in the area, though there are a lot more museums and places to visit that are not included in this list. This is a good starting point if you have no idea what to do, but feel free to do your own research as there a bunch of amazing places in and around the city!

Philadelphia Museum of Art

2600 Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Philadelphia, PA 19130

We both love going to museums, and this is one of Mel's favorites. This is also where the Rocky steps are for those who have seen the movies!

Reading Terminal Market

1136 Arch Street, Philadelphia, PA 19107

A Philly staple! Nick took me here for a date when we were in college. From baked goods to cheesesteaks to international cuisine, they have something for everybody! We recommend the cannoli

Philadelphia Zoo

3400 West Girard Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19104

You get to pet goats and see large cats? Say less.

Liberty Bell

526 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19106

The Liberty Bell, formerly known as the State House Bell or Old State House Bell, is an iconic symbol of American independence located in Philadelphia.

The Mütter Museum at The College of Physicians of Philadelphia

A museum of medical history featuring a collection of anatomical and pathological specimens, wax models, and antique medical equipment.

Eastern State Penitentiary

2027 Fairmount Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19130

If you want to check Al Capone's cell and also step inside a former prison, look no further! This tour must be done as an audio tour for the best experience, so if you don't like audio tours, this is not for you.

JFK Plaza (Love Park)

1501 John F Kennedy Boulevard, Philadelphia, PA 19102

The famous LOVE sign is in this plaza. It's a great spot for pictures.

Longwood Gardens

1001 Longwood Road, Kennett Square, PA 19348

While not in the city, Nick took me for a date a few years ago, and we had a blast! If you like flowers and gardens, this is a good place to visit!

Valley Forge National Historical Park

1400 North Outer Line Drive, King of Prussia, PA 19406

If you want to escape the city and would rather be surrounded by nature, this is a nice park to go to. The park features a network of trails for several activities, like hiking, biking, and horseback riding. There are over 35 miles of designated hiking trails.
