We’re getting married!

Erick: On May 26, 2015 i remember seeing her at my sisters graduation, if I remember right I saw her in a black shirt and a skirt and just remember seeing her, and she looked amazing. She says she didn’t see me but I know she saw me because we looked at each other, she was on a set of stairs and i just kept starring at her and she was looking around trying to find someone. She was the only girl in the room that I could notice. Miriam: I first noticed Erick when i caught him starring at me but i acted like i didnt see him, i pretended i was looking for someone since i felt it was a little awkward that we caught eyes.

Miriam: Around this time i was 14 about to start my sophomore year & was in colorguard! On this day We had Two-A-Days for band camp. A couple of friends and i had walked to DQ after practice, and hung out when Erick and his cousins had shown up. I was so embarrassed and shy. I was caught off guard and didnt know how to act! Erick: I was visiting family for the summer and after the first time i saw Miriam we had found eachother on instagram and had sent a few messages back and fourth. It was nothing flirty but i knew i had to see her. I had messaged her asking what she was doing and she replied with her being at DQ with some friends. Since my cousin lived right down the road from there, we jumped in the car and surprised her. We kinda met, by kinda I mean she was covering her face with her color guard flag and me not being able to see her face, I remember taking her home and she continued to cover her face but anyways that same day we went to the movies and that’s how we really met I would say. Miriam: That night i had recieved a message from a friend (E’s Cousin) asking if i wanted to meet up at the movies to watch Insidious Chapter 3. I had agreed to it and met her there. Later that night i met up with her and realized she was with Erick, and his family. I didnt think much of it but i did know scary movies were not for me.

Erick: I had gone to Mexico for a while and thought I was never going to see Miriam again. The reason being when we got to the states we went straight to GA and didn't make a stop in TX. When we got back to GA I was pretty sad that I wasn't going to ever see her again, but it came to the point that I said screw it and bought a plane ticket to Texas just so I could be closer to Miriam. When I had arrived to Texas I asked my cousin to knock on Miriam's door just a day before school started. I hid behind a corner by Miriam's house with some flowers and came out from behind to surprise her. That next day I remember my first day at school and seeing Miriam in the hall, she came straight towards me to give me a hug and I was so excited. Miriam: After "meeting" Erick he had left to Mexico for about a month, I didn't think I would ever see him again. Especially since we were so young. I do remember him calling me every time they would make a stop on his way back to Georgia. We still talked but knew things would be hard if we tried to be together. However, Erick would always tell me "I saw something in you, I know I need a chance to be with you." I never thought much of it but a day before school started Erick began to act weird and was a little off. When he would text me he would only ask me questions like "where are you?", "what are you doing", "what time are you getting home". Seemed a little weird but what happened next was the last thing I expected. His cousin had shown up at my doorstep and asked if she could talk to me about Erick and I walked out awkwardly agreeing to it. She didn't get to say much when Erick walked out from behind the corner of my house and said "I'm back" I was shoooookkk!! Literally speechless to how this 16 year old boy was states away from home, alone.

On August 27th, a thursday just a week into school starting Erick and I were leaving school and walking out the doors to enter the cafeteria. Within our conversation he told me he had a question for me. His face was super red and instead of asking me this question like normal he asked me as if he were texting me. It went like this. “Will you be my girlfriend question mark smiley face”. I couldnt help laugh at this instead of answer right away but of course i said yes! With this Erick also had another question and that was him wanting to ask my parents to date me. & he did. Fast forward to today i am 19 & Erick 21, we feel so fortunate to be young and know what we want in life! We are so excited to begin this new chapter in our lives and celebrate with all of you!
