I met Jewellea for the first time in Ensenada on a missions trip in December of 2015. We noticed each other in the game room and I let her beat me in a few games of air hockey. Then we didn’t see each other until the following school year when we both were serving with Campus life. Ironically we got each other for secret Santa that winter and that’s when I noticed her selfless and caring heart. Still oblivious to what God had planned for my future. We had a small encounter at soulfire camp in February 2017. We sat at the same lunch table with a group of friends, not saying a word to each other but just being there I felt like something about her was different, and I loved it! Valentine’s Day comes and I built up the guts to give her a gift and tell her “if I were to choose a valentine it would be you”. For the rest of the school year we began to intentionally get to know each other better. Summer came and we started dating. We went on beach trips, movie dates, picnics and all the fun lovey stuff. But summer came to an end and so did our relationship, mutually knowing we both had a lot of growing to do. Two years of growing and maturing later thankfully God brought us back together and it has been an adventure ever since. - Adrian
