I remember seeing Kenzie at BSU, but it wasn't until I saw her at band that I introduced myself. It wasn't long after that and we were talking, and shortly after that, dating. We grew closer not only to each other but more importantly to Christ. The more I saw Kenzie's faith displayed, the closer I felt to her. She is a model Christian and I aspire to be like her in so many ways. She isn't afraid to talk about and boldly live out her faith, and that's the quality I admire most about her. After many times of walking, having picnics, and throwing up hammocks in Lamar Park, I figured there was no more meaningful place to ask the love of my life to marry me. I love you Kenzie.
At the start of my sophomore year in college I began pursuing a real relationship with Christ. I went to the Baptist Student Union the first week of school and that was where I first saw Trey. I knew he looked familiar but I couldn’t quite place it until I saw him at band the next day. He came up to me, shook my hand, and told me his name. The rest is history. I knew in that moment he was different. At that point I hadn’t met many Christians in college. The way Trey mirrored Christ’s love and compassion was like nothing I had ever seen before. I continued to get to know him and he constantly pushed me to pursue my faith more and more. After he told me he loved me, he asked me to be his girlfriend in Lamar park. I think it was around that time that I knew he was the man I was going to marry. Trey is my best friend, and I wouldn’t trade the two years that we have spent together for anything in the world. I couldn’t have been more excited when he asked me to marry him. Agreeing to spend a lifetime with him was the easiest decision I have ever had to make. I cannot imagine a better life to live than one spent with Trey. I cant wait until the day I get to marry you. I love you Trey.
