We're thrilled to announce a significant step in our family's journey: the adoption of a new surname that embodies our unique blend of cultures, histories, and the profound love that binds us. After much deliberation and exploration, we've chosen a name that beautifully reflects our blended family. Initially, we explored direct translations and combinations of our cultural roots, such as "Dijkgarden-Starren," which sought to merge our Dutch, Singaporean, and Australian heritages with our LDS faith. "Textorvarius," a Latin conjugation meaning "weaver of diverse elements," resonated deeply. However, we felt a need for a name that truly captured the essence of our union. Ultimately, we sought a name that felt both meaningful and authentic but was also easy for all the forms we'll be filling out. This new surname represents the weaving together of our lives, the blending of our diverse backgrounds, and the creation of a strong, united family. It is a symbol of our shared journey and the love that will guide us forward.
Absolutely! We're even bringing one of our own. We'd love to have your whole family join us, but be aware there are some parts of our multi-day event that are not suitable for children. We've noted these in the Itinerary.
We've designed each event with a different vibe! Detailed attire suggestions are on the event schedule on our website. But we'll take you however you come. We'd just love to have you all with us.

Early December in Perth can be wonderfully warm and sunny, with average daytime temperatures ranging from 25°C to 30°C (77°F to 86°F). However, Perth's coastal location means we can also experience occasional sea breezes, particularly in the evenings, which can cool things down. We recommend packing light, breathable clothing for the daytime events, such as dresses, skirts, linen shirts, and shorts. A light jacket or cardigan is advisable for the evenings, especially if you plan to be outdoors. Comfortable shoes are a must for the Reception, as we'll be dancing the night away! And don't forget your sunscreen, hat, and sunglasses to protect yourself from the strong Australian sun.
Yes! Please use #LoomWedding to share your photos and videos. This will help us find all your wonderful records (and allow the event bot to collate them to our digital memories website). We can't wait to see your memories!
