Flight
Queen Beatrix International Airport (AUA) is Aruba's main airport, located near Oranjestad. When returning home, U.S. Customs is located at AUA meaning you complete all U.S. customs checks before leaving Aruba and don't have the hassle when you land! You will go through check-in, Aruba immigration, and then U.S. pre-clearance so give yourself plenty of time before your flight! The Mobile Passport Control (MPC) app helps speed up entry as it allows you to submit your passport and customs declaration on your phone.
Hotel
Our wedding ceremony and reception will take place at the Renaissance Wind Creek in Oranjestad at the Ocean Suites Beach. The Renaissance Wind Creek features two hotels. Their Ocean Suites hotel is family friendly and located right on the beach where the wedding will take place. The Marina Hotel is a short, walking distance away and is adults only. There is also a shuttle that runs between the two. The Marina is not on the beach as it is across the street, but has a beautiful pool. Please keep this in mind when selecting from the room block! Select View below to see our room block. If you plan to book within our block, please do so by October 1 to ensure you get a room at this rate. Rooms will be released to the public after this time. Booking at either hotel grants you access to Renaissance Island where you can watch the flamingos roam!
Travel Note
Rental cars such as National, Alamo, Hertz, Dollar, Budget and more are located at the airport if you wish to rent your own car. Taxis are readily available and reasonably priced as well! There are always several taxis waiting outside the airport, hotels, and major restaurants. The Aruba Taxi App can also be used to book official taxis. Most taxis do not accept credit card (as cash is preferred) and accept USD.
