Hailey and Dustin met on a lovely Monday night in the middle of October. Hailey was in an uber on her way to celebrate Mclane’s 21st birthday. Naturally, they were headed to 1st Street Bar in Encinitas. A dive bar that turns into a loud dance club on the weekends but is mellow with pool table and shuffle boards on weekdays. They both had/have a love for this place for different reasons and had been numerous times before. Hailey had recently downloaded Bumble and was swiping her way down the 101. Still unclear why Dustin was headed to the bars on a Monday.. The conversation on Bumble ended as soon as they realized they were both en route to the same place. The night was amazing and fun, there was some drinking, dancing and a lot of talking. We moved to another bar down the road called, “The Office,” in Cardiff where they shared their first kiss. Romantically, near the ladies restroom, it was pure love as their friends cheered them on from the booth nearby. The following day they began a conversation that would never end. Bumble was off the table and late night phone conversations ensued. It seemed the first few months they couldn't find more than a moment here and there to spend together. Dinners and hangouts, listening to music when possible. Both were busy with traveling for pre-relationship obligations with friends, family and work. Every night though, there would be endless talking on the phone, sometimes until sunrise. Once things settled and the holidays came to a close they ended up spending more time together, eventually becoming inseparable. Dustin moved out of his apartment with Denzy and Omar sfter six months of knowing Hailey. They have been growing and moving towards a more permanent relationship ever since. October 24, 2019 will marked three years together and Mclane's 24th birthday.

Dustin had asked Hailey to go get drinks before meeting his family that were in town. Hailey put on her new cute dress and knee high boots... Dustin gets to the house to pick Hailey up and with a very worried look on his face asked, " Can you walk on the beach in those??". Hailey could’ve just take them off but she had just put the fake tanner on JUST on her knees. At this point Dustin looked even more stressed out so Hailey asked him if she should go tan the rest of her legs! Looking back, Hailey was very grateful she didn't have perfectly bronzed knees and sheet white calves! After margs at PCG, Hailey ane Dustin went for what Hailey thought was a casual walk on the beach. Little did she know they were about to come across a circle of rose petals, a pathway outlined by sunflowers, a beach full of people that we love, and the love of her life down on one knee as the sun set. It was magical. The night continued with all of their favorite things: tequila, friends, family, and tacos! Dustin still doesn’t know how he pulled it off. They are so grateful for everyone that made the day unforgettable.
