We met in 2020 while we were both attending UNC Charlotte. We both decided to study abroad in Germany through the school, and we were lucky that we both so happened to pick the same program, despite being very different majors. We attended middle school, high school, and college together, but never met until this one fateful February. We even rode the same bus in middle school, but since Christian was a year older, he thought he was cool and sat at the back while Emily sat at the front. Once we landed in Germany, the rest was history and we have been inseparable since!

We have loved being roomies since 2021, hopping around different neighborhoods near Uptown Charlotte. We have two cute kitties together, Barkley and Lucy, who we spoil like it’s nobody’s business. We love traveling, as we have been all over Europe together, and always have a fun trip to look forward to. We love trying new restaurants and breweries, and hanging out with our wonderful friends. We are excited to see what the future holds and the adventures it will bring.

On November 9, 2024, Christian got down on one knee in Dumbo, Brooklyn in front of the Brooklyn Bridge. He had a photographer waiting on a bench nearby to capture the moment. While we were taking our pictures around Brooklyn afterwards, Amy Schumer approached us to congratulate us and hop in a few pictures. It was a special day!
