Bike, walk, or rollerblade the Little Traverse Wheelway (LTW)! The paved, 26-mile trail from Charlevoix to Petoskey and then Harbor Springs leads through parks and weaves along the waterfront. If you are not staying at the Inn, you can rent bikes from Bahnhof Sport or Latitude 45.
Take a boat ride from the Bay Harbor Marina to Petoskey and Harbor Springs! A great option for a sunset cruise. The ferry takes about 30 minutes to get from Bay Harbor to Petoskey and then about 20 minutes from Petoskey to Harbor Springs.
Go golfing! Amazing courses surround the Village in every direction. Crooked Tree is close by, but feel free to venture to Boyne Mountain (two 18-hole courses) or the Highlands (four 18-hole courses and one 9-hole course).
Take a memorable day trip before or after the wedding weekend and see why folks call Mackinac the "crown jewel" of the Great Lakes! Shepler’s Mackinac Island Ferry and Arnold Transit Company offer passenger ferries back and forth from the mainland every 30 minutes or so. Plan for a one-hour car ride from the Village to the docks in Mackinaw City. The ferry ride takes about 20 to 30 minutes.
Try some of the famous northern Michigan wineries! Boyne Valley is our favorite, but you seriously cannot go wrong with Gabriel Farms Winery, Walloon Lake Winery, Gypsy Distillery, Petoskey Farms Vineyard & Winery, Mackinaw Trail Winery, Spare Key Winery, Rudbeckia Winery, Maple Moon Sugarbush & Winery, and Resort Pike Cidery & Winery.
The local beer scene is worth checking out. PBC is nearby, but there is also Beards Brewery and other fun spots including Mackinaw Trail Brewery, Burnt Marshmallow Brewstillery, and Four Labs Beer & Cider. The premier brewery of northern Michigan, Short's Brewing Company, has two locations in Bellaire and Elk Rapids, which are both about an hour's drive from Bay Harbor.
