Acceptances and regrets are kindly requested no later than the 12th of October.

Question

So I have this "friend"...

Answer

Oh là là. In order to keep the guest list on track we are only able to accommodate those guests formally named on the wedding invitations.

Question

What is Black Tie Optional and What Should I Wear?

Answer

Black Tie Optional means that a tuxedo isn't required but the event is still formal enough for one to be appropriate and is actually highly recommended. He should wear: A tuxedo or formal dark suit with a conservative tie or bow tie. She should wear: A long, floor-length evening gown. Short, cocktail dresses are not appropriate. Coats, wraps, furs, capes, etc. are suggested for the reception.

Question

I'm going to be in Sacramento in early November. "Alexa, what will the weather be like?"

Answer

Average temperatures during this time of year range from the mid-to-high 60's throughout the day, while the nighttime averages hover around the low 50's. During the evening reception, the Old Sugar Mill has both indoor and outdoor spaces for our guests to enjoy. Outside areas will have heat lamps, fire pits and blankets, however it is strongly recommend all guests bring a warm outer layer. A coat check will also be available for your convenience.

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

We love your little ones, but we want our wedding to be your night off! Both the ceremony and the reception are an adults-only affair.

Question

Is there transportation from the ceremony to the reception?

Answer

Transportation will be at our guests' discretion. Check out the Travel & Accommodations page for several local transportation suggestions.

Question

Uber's not my style, what's the deal with parking at the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Ceremony: Parking is available in the City Hall parking lot on 11th St. between I Street and J Street, and in the Capitol parking lot on 10th Street between K Street and L Street, for a flat rate of $5.00. Metered street parking is also available on a first-come-first-served basis. For those guests staying at The Citizen Hotel, the Cathedral is a 1 1/2 block walk. Reception: The Old Sugar Mill offers plenty of self-parking at no cost.
