Lady Bird Lake
Lady Bird Lake, a reservoir on the Colorado River, is a body of water located in the heart of Austin. From Zilker Metropolitan Park you can rent paddleboards, canoes, and kayaks, and spend several hours cruising up and down Lady Bird Lake. This is the perfect activity for a hot, sunny day in Austin.
South Congress Avenue
South Congress has a huge variety of boutiques and restaurants worth checking out! Whether you're in the mood for window shopping and want to look at shops like Service Menswear, Cove, Stag Provisions, Maya Star, leather boots from Allen's Boots, or Tesoros Trading Co; it's well worth the trip. Texas Capitol
The Texas State Capitol offers free 30-minute tours, or you're free to pick up a self-guided tour pamphlet and explore at your own pace. Between the Capitol's ornate architecture, and its grounds comprising 22 acres of historic monuments, it's absolutely worth seeing.
