Our favorite beach from traveling together in 2019!

Beach: Caló del Moro

Sign up for a catamaran booze cruise (plenty of options out of Palma or Alcudia on Trip Advisor) or captain your own boat (no license required) up the coast to Platje des Coll Baix, a remote beach.  The beach is accessible by a rugged hike.

Boating

Ride along the beach or ask for a custom tour.

Horseback Riding

DIY rentals should be easy to find, but also consider a guided trip out of Betlem. Trip is $50 per person for a 3 hour guided tour.

Kayaking

Lots of route options, including an old train route from Manacor to Arta, shuttle included.

Bike Rentals

Playa de Muro, almost to Alcudia, offers a long stretch of blue water and clean sand.  Go early if you want to rent a sunbed.  Book a table and try one of the rice dishes at Ponderosa Beach.

Son Serra de Marina, the next village 5 km west along the coast,  offers more beaches, cafes and restaurants. El Sol Sunshine Bar has a more laid back, surfer vibe with live music.

The tour lasts for around an hour and consists of a 1,200 metre route through tunnels adorned with thousands of stalactites and stalagmites up to a depth of 25 metres.

Drach Caves Tour

Visit an olive oil estate for a tasting or a guided hike and/or an arranged picnic.  Located in the western half of the island in the mountains of Serra de Tramuntana.

Playa de Muro is the hotpsotwhere a thermal wind called "Embat" blows almost daily.

Kitesurfing

Just outside of Es Blau des Nord, you can access an easy 5 km trail through the dunes and along the beach to the next town up the coast, Son Serra de Marina.
