In the summer of 2018, we met through the dating app, Coffee Meets Bagel. Lona had a week off in between jobs and in that week, we went on three dates. Two and a half weeks in, we went to Cozumel and decided to make it a thing. We began to realize that we compliment each other very well - Lona grew up with a lot of estrogen energy and Dae's mainly testosterone. We find our peace in doing things outdoors, cooking at home together, and nerding out on yoga.

In October of 2019, we were waiting for the last wave in at Redondo, when Dae popped the question with the ring emerging from his wetsuit. A few minutes prior, we were sitting and watching a pod of dolphins swim by us. We like to believe it was pure magic.
