The Calgary Stampede is an annual rodeo, exhibition, and festival in Calgary, dates are July 8-17, 2022 The event, which bills itself as "The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth", attracts over one million visitors per year and features one of the world's largest rodeos, a parade, midway, stage shows, concerts, agricultural competitions, chuckwagon racing, and First Nations exhibitions. Take a casual stroll around the lake, hike one of the many surrounding trails, canoe Lake Louise or settle down with some drinks and a meal at the Chateau gardens. Note: Parking is limited at Lake Louise and Moraine Lake and fills quickly during daylight hours, so planning ahead is key. On the #1 Hwy there is a Park and Ride lot with shuttle buses to both areas but arrive early to avoid long lines.

We highly recommend you take some time to check out the Banff area. Take the gondola up Sunshine Mountain, walk the main strip of downtown Banff and shop the boutiques, find a rooftop bar for some happy hour drinks, go for a hike, horsehide, or relax at the Fairmont Spa. The options are endless!
