Like any storybook romance, this story begins in an engineering study hall. Daniel and his friend happened to be studying at the same table as Kayla and her roommate during their freshman year at Texas A&M. They quickly became fast friends and were soon inseparable, talking and laughing together well into the night. They had their first date at a bagel shop, and Daniel asked Kayla to be his girlfriend a few days before Valentines Day. From there, they went on a number of adventures. After graduating, they moved from College Station to Fort Worth where they both started working as engineers designing buildings. They both love to travel and every chance they had they were flying out to San Francisco to bike across the Golden Gate Bridge or driving out to Louisiana to go kayaking among the cypress trees – only stopping for coffee on the way. Between trips, they found adventures between the pages of books they were reading and in trying new recipes in the kitchen. Their travels since have seen them from Montreal to Athens, but they always came back home for their cat, Cooper. After seven years of adventures together, Daniel proposed to Kayla on a bridge in Colmar, France the day before New Year's Eve.
