We were ironically both ready to uninstall Tinder. Online dating is an awful experience. Kelly decided to send Lola a message and, obviously, she replied. After a couple of weeks of 4-8 hour phone conversations while Kelly was working out of town, we finally got to have our first date. We decided to meet at 9am at the Koffee Kup in Hico since it was pretty much half way between us. Kelly showed up at 8am... Lola made it at just before 10am. In a perfect relationship, one person is always early... and one person shows up at last an hour late with iced coffee... We had a lovely breakfast and decided to drive to Hamilton for the Heritage Festival. Once we got there, it was absolutely dead and there really isn't a lot going on locally so we opted to go for a drive... which turned into about 6 hours of dirt roads and classic country music and culminated with lunch at Storm's. The very next weekend, Kelly invited Lola over to meet 2 of his 3 wonderful children and the rest, as they say, is history. We've gone from meeting on Tinder to being literal Chicken "Tenders". We now share Kelly's home in Carlton, tried our hand at gardening for the first time, and have a very grown up flock of chickens who think they're babies. We bonded over these dreams and goals in those first couple of weeks of phone calls and now we get to live them together in one of the most beautiful settings in Texas. We couldn't be more grateful to have found each other, and now to share our love with y'all!
