Things To Do

There’s lot to do, eat, and see in Denver. Here are some favourites to get you started.

Things to eat

Bartaco Lohi — Yummy street tacos and a killer green juice marg Postino Lohi — Tasty bruschetta with all sorts of toppings and a lovely wine list Pita Central — Fast casual Greek spot with 10/10 pitas (tell Gianni Lola says hi) Little India — The only good Indian food in Colorado (with very slow service) Mister Oso — More yummy Mexican food (get the coconut shrimp tacos) Highland Tavern — Sports dive with excellent tater tots The Source — A handful of not-super-cheap-but-very-scrummy restaurants Sweet Cow — The only ice cream worth eating (don’t listen to the people who tell you to go to Little Man. They have questionable taste).

Things to do

Denver Museum of Science and Nature — Go learn something, you heathens Flyteco Tower — Food, beer, games! Meow Wolf — A wild, very colourful experience… Top Golf — Hit some balls and then tell Corey how much better your swing is than his Adam’s Mystery Playhouse — The most bizarre yet wonderfully entertaining murder mystery dinner theatre you’ll ever see

Things to drink

Steam Espresso Bar — Old firehouse turned coffee shop The Family Jones Spirit House — Pro tip: Take some card games Williams & Graham — Very cool speakeasy vibes (and, technically, the place we first met) Room for Milly — More cocktails and snacky things

Things to see

It may still be a little snowy in the mountains so we’re not sure you’ll want to hike, but here are some beautiful spots for a lovely mountain drive from Denver. We recommend checking http://cotrip.org for road conditions. Full Day Trips: Rocky Mountain National Park ($35 entrance fee per vehicle) – Pro tip: Take the Peak to Peak Highway through Allenspark on the way back. Breckenridge – Your quintessential Colorado ski town that's also great for non-skiers! Estes Park – Enjoy a beautiful river walk and take a peek at the Stanley Hotel (featured in The Shining and Dumb & Dumber...equally prestigious films). Half Day/Shorter Trips: Boulder – Check out Chautauqua and take a little jaunt up Flagstaff Road, get lunch on Pearl Street, and wander around CU's campus (Lola's Alma Mater!). Golden – Get the mountain vibe without having to go very far at all and visit the School of Mines campus for a glimpse into Corey's college life.
