It's really amazing how small things can add up. Our love story began way before it even began. It all started with Alex always teasing his best friend Chukwuka for his colossal Yorùbá at that time.  🙄 On the other side of the world, passion drove the love of my life to make a video about something she feels so strongly about - the exact same thing I was gladly guilty of, you see. The video implored people to stop teasing or "stop language shaming" those who are trying to learn a new language. This video was posted and still pinned on her public Instagram page @theauntielola. This aggrieved bro saw the video in IG's Explore Page, watched it, and decided to tag me in the comment section. In his hopeful mind, I'd watch, have a change of heart and therefore desist from teasing him. Oh, little did he know. I got to the comment section of said video and still did what I knew to do best - tease him! 🌚 The LOML was amused by these two strangers abusing themselves in her comment section. She joined in and we literally had a full-blown convo in that comment section. We all ended up following each other. #winks# #rubs palms# The following days and weeks had us replying to each other's stories on IG and that led to some more conversations in da deehems. Sometimes long, sometimes short. Many times funny! On one of my many trips to her highlights on IG, I saw one particular picture (she knows which) and it hit me - I love this girl! I need this girl in my life! I need her to look like this for me - as my woman! I told her this and the outcome of that conversation is what you are here celebrating with us today - 1,164 days later. So you see... will you listen to her and not language shame or you'd like to join me in this very productive activity?
