Detroit Institute of Arts

Special exhibit: Van Gogh in America - Featuring around sixty five of Van Gogh’s paintings and works on paper from collections around the world, the exhibition will explore the considerable efforts made by early promoters of modernism in the United States—including dealers, collectors, private art organizations, public institutions, and the artist’s family—to introduce the artist, his biography, and his artistic production into the American consciousness.

Belle Isle Park

Belle Isle Park is a Detroit gem and became Michigan's 102nd State Park in 2014. This 982-acre island park is situated on the Detroit River between the United States and Canada. It is home to a wide assortment of educational and recreational opportunities, including an aquarium, conservatory and the James Scott Memorial Fountain and much more.
