What should I wear? (Dress Code)

Answer

We can't wait to see your finest summer semi-formal or cocktail attire! Guys - Show us your best dress shirt/suit and tie or fancy polo. Ladies - Dazzle us with your floor and tea length dresses! (Please no white dresses, and no jeans!)

Are there any hotels nearby?

Answer

Lucky for you (and for us), hotels are ever-present in Grand Rapids and a quick google search will get you where you need to be! We will have blocks reserved at two different stays in the area, so please refer to the "Travel" section here on our site for more information. Note - these blocks will fill quickly!

Are children allowed to tag along?

Answer

Unfortunately, we are not having children invited to the wedding OR reception. We love you and your littles, but we want to ensure the adults can have a fun night away and celebrate freely!

Can I bring a plus one to the party?

Answer

Only the name(s) listed on your official invitation are requested to attend. Please keep in mind that we have invited a specific number of our friends and family to be included in our special day, and the arrangements have already been made with our beautiful venue for capacity, seating and dining. Any additional persons in attendance who were not invited could create needs we cannot satisfy on the day of!

What happens if I'm running behind?

Answer

If you are late arriving to the ceremony, please wait in the lobby until a staff member can seat you, so there is no disturbance with the proceedings. We want this to be an uninterrupted moment to hold for the rest of our lives together. We and our party members will be more than happy to fill you in on all the details as soon as we're happily wed!

Can I record or take my own photos?

Answer

We are hosting an "unplugged" ceremony, so we politely ask that you keep your phones and video recording devices silenced and stowed away during the proceedings. As much as we would love to see all of your memories of the ceremony from your personal perspective, we have hired professionals to take care of the photos and videos so you don't have to. This way, we can all stay focused on the task at hand - getting us hitched!
