I Didn't Know I Was Lonely 'Til I Saw Your Face

It is August of 2017, the day before Chase moves to Nashville. He's lying on a tattoo table getting lyrics tattooed onto his arm: "I Didn't Know I Was Broken 'til I Wanted to Change." The words belong to a song about new beginnings, growth, and the goal to always continue moving forward. A fitting choice on the eve of a life-changing move. Little did he know that the lyrics permanently inscribed on him that day just so happened to be the words to his future wife's favorite song. A few years later, Sarah and Chase's love story began the way so many do nowadays: on Bumble. After a few exchanges back and forth on the app, it was clear that there was a connection, and a first date was quickly set for trivia at Southside Pub, a place that would become one of their favorites. They spent so much time talking that they repeatedly almost forgot to play the game and, unsurprisingly, performed terribly. Life briefly made it difficult to get back together again. There were several weeks of texts and calls back and forth, but that time apart made the reunion for the second date all the more meaningful. During this date, Chase discovered Sarah's fondness for good beer, and plans were made to go together to the East Nashville Beer Festival the very next day. After the festival, they simply never stopped hanging out. They spent every day together from that moment forward, learning everything there is to know about each other and bonding over their shared love of live music, fantastic food, and travel to wonderful places. A deep-rooted love was quickly established. After two years together, Chase secretly coordinated with his longtime photographer friend, Sabrina, and her husband, Wes, to "accidentally" run into each other at Bernheim Forest, home to three giant wood trolls created by artist Thomas Dambo. Sabrina pretended to be there to shoot an engagement session for another client who was running late. She told Sarah how she hides near the proposal area while the person proposing asks Wes to take a picture. Sarah's suspicions grew and were shortly confirmed when Sabrina disappeared to "take a phone call" and Chase turned to Wes to ask for a photo of the two of them. The proposal Sabrina and Wes were there to capture was actually theirs. Sarah and Chase have been able to build the foundation of their love story together. Next, they will need the help of their family and friends to usher in the next new beginning. The beginning of their marriage, where they will spend the rest of their lives growing and moving forward together.
