We first met at the young age of 21...at a local bar in Cheney, WA. John was days away from leaving for Afghanistan. It was a memorable night. After that night, we lost touch, he went to war, I was busy working and completing my degree. However, over the years, we kept in touch, and would meet up when John was in town. It wasn't until 2014, and a chance meeting at Eagles (another local hangout in Cheney), that we became inseparable.
