Tyler and Lexie met at John Marshall High School in summer gym class, but became better friends through band camp and school. As Tyler likes to tell, he asked Lexie out on multiple dates for the three years they shared in high school, and Lexie always said she liked him "as a brother". Lexie's senior year, however, changed that. They started dating. Lexie soon left for college, but came home every weekend, until Tyler joined her at West Liberty University, where they majored in Psychology together and played in the university marching band. They graduated from West Liberty together in May of 2021. Tyler popped the question to Lexie at Panama City Beach while on a family vacation, on the pier by their condo. That summer, they adopted a kitten, Winston, who takes up much of their time and energy. They each started their respective Master's programs the following fall, with Tyler staying at West Liberty and Lexie moving to PA to start her program at PennWest Univeristy. Lexie graduated from PennWest in December of 2023 with her Master's of Education in School Counseling, and Tyler graduated from West Liberty this past May 4th with his Master's of Science in Clinical Psychology. The couple have settled into their new house together and is excited for their newest journey as husband and wife with their three kitties - Winston, Inky, and Clementine.
