We’re getting married!

I'm not really sure a "How We Met" story qualifies for us, lol. I do know however, that by third grade, Trey and I were pretty close friends. We had baking days at my house on L Street and even snuck out downtown once at 3am. In 7th grade, we tried to date and were each other's first kiss at the 12th Street Cinema. A Christmas Carol was playing and our whole grade was there to watch our special event, even my sister lol! Fast forward to high school and the pressure to sketch out a life plan before graduation. Trey and I were closer than ever, spending most nights doing crazy things like, driving to Chimney Rock or egging his car because it was on my bucket list. When we were together, there wasn't pressure to be anything or know what we wanted for our future. We laughed, ate a lot of dairy queen, and just did whatever we felt like. After graduation, he went off to UNL and I went to UNO. For a semester or so we didn't talk much, but by 2016 we were hitting half apps at Applebees together again on the regular. Soon we were planning a trip to Denver to see Juicy J and go snowboarding. Somehow we ended up dancing together at the concert and he paid for just about every meal of mine there. Our friends kept teasing us about getting together and I thought, "He has super high standards, there's no way he'd ever be into me." On the way home we were telling each other what songs to listen to, since we were in different cars. At one point I said, "Everyone says you like me, is that true?" Lol he responded with, "Yeah kinda I guess." Knowing Trey, he is super lowkey, so a "yeah kinda I guess" meant something! After talking for awhile, we decided to give it a shot and I think that was the best decision we've ever made.
