We met on a dive boat. It was our friend Meghan's first scuba dive after having her daughter Ari, and my first time back under the water since 2013. Owen was our fearless captain that day. I ended up getting sea sick, couldn't dive, and then cursed at Owen when he was just trying to be supportive and do his job. Our first official date was on a Thursday. We went on an air boat ride through the Everglades, enjoyed fresh smoothies from a local fruit stand, and then finished the night with dinner at my favorite restaurant. The next Tuesday, we started the longest second date in history - running from hurricane Irma! It was my first hurricane and quite the adventure. Things slowly blossomed from there. What I love about our relationship is the ease and acceptance, the love and support. Our joke with each other is, "You chose this," it always makes us laugh. We're so happy to have you all (hopefully!) heading to the Florida Keys to share this weekend with us. We know times are crazy right now, and we want everybody to be comfortable. We will continue to share updates if there are any changes to our plans. Celebrating together with family and friends means the world to us and is one of the things we are looking forward to the most.
