What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will start promptly at 4:30pm. We kindly ask that guests arrive no later than 4:15pm so everyone can be seated in time.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We're so excited to celebrate this special day surrounded by our closest family and friends. Due to limited space, only those formally listed on your wedding invitation can be accommodated. If you have a plus one, it will be noted on your invitation and when you RSVP.

Are kids welcome?

We love your little ones, but this is an adults-only event. Enjoy a night out and come ready to party!

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes - both the ceremony and reception will be held at The War Memorial in Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan, which offers free parking for all guests. The venue is about a 20-minute drive from the hotel, so we recommend driving or using a rideshare service so you can relax and fully enjoy the celebration.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes - there is an alternative meal option for those with food allergies and restrictions. Please specify which option you'd prefer when you RSVP.

Will the wedding take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Weather permitting, our ceremony will be outdoors, surrounded by the beauty of Lake St. Clair. Guests can enjoy the indoor/outdoor cocktail hour on the lawn before the reception moves indoors for a night of celebration.

Can I take pictures?

Answer

We are having an "unplugged ceremony" (no phones or cameras, please). The greatest gift you can give us is being fully present as we say "I do." We have hired incredibly talented photographers to capture these moments for us and we promise to share our photos with guests once we receive them. After the ceremony, please feel free to take as many photos and videos as you'd like and share them with us!

What is the dress code?

Answer

We’re looking forward to everyone getting dressed up for the celebration. Semi-formal attire is requested for the evening (no jeans, please). Early October in Michigan can be a bit unpredictable, with daytime highs around 65°F and evenings dipping into the 50s. Since the venue sits along Lake St. Clair, it can also get a bit breezy, so we recommend planning accordingly.
