I’ve never been to a gay wedding before, are they different?

Answer

The one difference you CAN expect is that everyone in attendance is full of love and support for ours and others same-sex marriage. We recognize that loving us individually is not the same as loving our love. If you find yourself in this boat, we fully support and encourage you to send your love virtually.

What type of ceremony will you be having?

Answer

Our ceremony will feature two traditions: handfasting and candle lighting. We'll use handfasting cords to symbolically tie the knot, and we'll light candles together to represent our unity.

Do you have a wedding registry?

Answer

Rather than a traditional registry, we'd love for you to contribute to one of two funds we've established: our Honeymoon Fund or our First Home Fund.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We kindly ask that the reception remain an adults-only celebration, with the exception of children we've specifically invited. This allows all our guests to enjoy a relaxed evening together.

What is the dress code?

Answer

We're asking our guests to wear Jewel Tones, Black, or Gray. We want you to feel comfortable and look radiant—so please dress in semi-formal attire (or more formal if you'd like) within our color palette. We have created Pinterest boards for color inspiration. To ensure we can accommodate all our beloved guests, only those explicitly named on your invitation are included. Thank you for understanding!

Answer

Yes, parking will be available at the venue for both the ceremony and reception.
