How did you first meet?

Kat and Logan first met at her sister's Superbowl party! Their friend Margaret called Logan and told him to come over to Melissa's to meet Kat... and to bring some guacamole! They were introduced, talked the rest of the evening and the rest is history!

Who made the first move? How?

Answer

Logan made the first move when he ran out to Kat's car to return her forgotten earrings! Kat had loaned her sister a pair of earrings for an event. She brought them downstairs so Kat wouldn't forget them, and sent Logan to reminder her! Alas.... Kat forgot the earrings. This is where the story varies depending on who you ask. Kat says that Logan was hiding the earrings on purpose so she would forget them and he could talk to her again. Logan says that it was an honest mistake! ANYWAYS....Logan realized Kat had forgotten the earrings and ran out after her hoping she hadn't left yet to return them! As luck would have it, Kat was sitting in her car at the curb. Logan brought out the earrings and asked if she wanted to get dinner!

How did Logan propose?

Kat and Logan's anniversary is two days after Valentine's Day so they usually have a really fancy date night to celebrate both. This year, they booked a table at Second Empire. The two had gone the year before for a Christmas party and loved it! They arrived early and had a drink at the bar before being settled at a little table in a window overlooking downtown Raleigh. The wait staff was aware that the happy couple was celebrating their fifth anniversary and brought out menus that had 'Happy Anniversary' printed at the top. The evening was perfect! Kat and Logan ate, drank, and enjoyed reminiscing on the last five years together. Their waitress came and made a wonderful dessert recommendation which both agreed to share to end the evening. A beautiful plate was placed in front of Kat with chocolate script around the edges. Kat assumed that the message read 'Happy Anniversary!' but upon a closer look, she realized the chocolate read 'Will you marry me?'. She was shocked! As she stared at the plate attempting to process what was happening, Logan pulled a small box from his jacket, moved his chair aside, dropped to one knee, and asked her to marry him. Still attempting to process what was happening, Kat simply sat and stared. Her brain finally caught up and after what Logan describes as a terrifyingly long time, she said yes! Yes there is a video and yes we will show it if asked!
