They say that you always find your person when you least expect it, and that could not be more true for Logan and I. In April of 2020 right after the pandemic had started, our mutual friends Kaity (one of my best friends that I met in nursing school at SIUe) and Alex (one of Logan's Navy buddies at Mizzou) were bored on a long car ride and started doing some brainstorming on which of their friends they could potentially set up. While this started out as a joke, they quickly realized that Logan and I had a lot in common and might actually hit it off. Without hesitation, Kaity texted both of us separately saying "I found your perfect match!!!". Initially when I read that text I just laughed and thought nothing would come of it because he lived hours away in Columbia, MO, but Logan had other plans. After a couple days he worked up the courage to ask Kaity for my number and we started getting to know each other. A few facetime dates later I quickly began to realize that this could be the man I'd marry. Now here we are two years later and will always be grateful for Kaity and Alex with their matchmaking skills.
