How We Met

9.3.15

First comes college, then comes marriage... Logan was the first person Charlotte met her very first day of Freshman year at California Baptist University. They both distinctly remember where their first encounter took place. Logan was assigned as Charlotte's "Focus Leader" or Freshman Orientation Leader and their mutual friend introduced them on move in day. Charlotte was very excited to start college and to meet new people but was in another relationship as was Logan. In meeting Logan, she gave him a hug right away as she continued the mission to meet more people that first day of college. Logan, on the other hand, remembers this encounter a little bit differently thinking "Uhoh I'm in trouble" after meeting his pretty focus student. As the first couple years of college went on, Charlotte and Logan were really good friends but nothing more! However when both their previous relationships came to an end, Logan had other plans...

She Gave In

10.28.17

After a long hard year of Logan pursuing, Charlotte FINALLY said yes (to a date)...with this opportunity Logan decided to pull out ALL the stops first taking her to a coffee shop in Venice, then dinner at the Butcher's Daughter (the most Instagram-worthy & "Charlotte-like" restaurant he could find) and then taking her to a LANY concert, their favorite band. Not bad for a first date. Although it took some time for Charlotte to come around to the idea of them being more than friends, that first night marked the start of them being inseparable as a couple.

The Proposal

10.5.19

Didn't see it coming... Charlotte was told that she would be celebrating her sister Shannon's birthday with a girls weekend in Newport. Little did she know that there was much more planned. Beginning the day getting her nails done with her sisters and mom, she knew something seemed a little fishy. What she didn't see coming was getting sick that morning which left everyone who was in the know in a little bit of a frenzy. Trying to sleep off the sickness and taking all the anti-nausea medicine, the last thing she wanted to do was to go to Shannon's "birthday dinner" on a duffy boat. But Charlotte pushed through, was given a dress to put on that she had never tried on (THANKFULLY IT FIT!) and headed to the dock. Walking down the dock she heard her & Logan's song playing "Didn't See It Coming" by My Brothers & I. This is where she was sure of what was happening. There Logan was standing at the end of a rose-petal filled dock waiting to ask the most important question of his life. Overcome with adrenaline, the first thing that Charlotte thought was THANK GOODNESS Logan had thought of everything and had his two best friends there, one taking photos and one taking a video. Logan's speech was great, even though to this day both Logan and Charlotte have no recollection of what was said. But she said yes and in that exact moment the canon at the Balboa Yacht Club went off and there was a lot of cheering from behind them. This is where Charlotte realized that both Logan and Charlotte's families and friends were there watching the whole scene. It was such a special moment they got to share with all of the most important people in their lives. The engagement was followed by an engagement party at the Balboa Yacht Club filled with delicious food and the best company.
