Logan - The earliest memory I have of Alex would be during senior year when he introduced himself to me on a couch in our high school Bible classroom at Fayetteville Christian School. A friend of his had recommended that he introduce himself to me because we had a lot in common, and he very shyly and sweetly explained to me that he wanted to make more friends. Alex - The earliest memory I have of Logan would be during junior year in our psychology class. She walked in with a friend before class began and loudly quoted one of her favorite memes/vines at the time, "Welcome to del taco where we serve... Fresh Avocado!”
Logan had left for university in Asheville, NC just 2 weeks before. We had both already expressed interest in the other, and we originally decided to remain close friends. On this particular day, Logan had come home for the weekend, and we decided to meet up before she left again. We went to the bowling alley later that night, and I taught her how to play pool. Around 10:45 PM, I asked her to be my girlfriend.
I was coming home to celebrate a late first Valentine's Day with Alex. He had been acting a little suspicious, and when I walked into his house he seemed nervous/excited. We had already talked so much about what we wanted out of this relationship even though it had only been 5 months since we began dating. With those conversations in mind, Alex surprised me with a beautiful promise ring and asked if we could work towards getting engaged and eventually married. I, of course, said yes.
Logan had moved back to Fayetteville, NC where she continued her university studies at Methodist University. She had an assignment for her theater class where she needed to critique a play at the Cape Fear Regional Theater. Logan loved theater and had a background in performance and acting. I knew this would be the perfect time to finally pop the question. We got dressed up in very fancy clothes and had a great dinner before heading to the theater. It was already dark out by the time we got there, and the theater lights were sparkling in the background. Before we went inside, I got on one knee and asked Logan if she would be my wife.
After finally completing her degree and both individuals having more stability in their lives, Logan and Alex finally decided on a date for their wedding. We can't wait to see you all there!
